Notices Under the Licensing Act 2003

The Council’s Licensing Register, where a record of these applications may be inspected, is kept at Ryedale House, Malton

The register of Ryedale District Council and the record of the application may be inspected at the address above.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for the offence is unlimited.

1. Mr M E Scholefield & Mrs J L Scholefield, The Mount Hotel, Yorkersgate, Malton, YO17 7AB

Application has been made on 30 January 2017 for a Premises Licence under the above Act at the above premises as follows:

  1. The supply of alcohol each day between the hours of 10:00 and 00:00. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve between the hours of 10:00 and 02:00.
  2. The premises to be open to the public each day between 00:01 and 00:00. The premises will be closed to non residents at 00:30 each day. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve will be closed to non residents at 02:30.

Representations must be made in writing to Ryedale District Council, Licensing Department, Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton YO17 7ZG  by 27 February 2017.

2. Brass Castle Brewery Limited, 10 Yorkersgate, Malton, YO17 7AB

Application has been made on 6 February 2017 for a Premises Licence under the above Act at the above premises as follows:

  1. The supply of alcohol each day between the hours of 10:00 and 22:00. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve between the hours of 10:00 and 00:00.
  2. The premises to be open to the public each day between 10:00 and 22:30. On Christmas Eve and New Years Eve between the hours of 10:00 and 00:30.

Representations must be made in writing to Ryedale District Council, Licensing Department, Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton YO17 7ZG  by 6 March 2017.

3. The Balloon Tree (Yorkshire), The Balloon Tree Farm Shop & Cafe, Stamford Bridge Road, Gate Helmsley, York, YO41 1NB

Application has been made on 3 February 2017 for a minor variation to the Premises Licence under the Licensing Act 2003 to:

  1. Vary the licensing plan to reflect changes to the layout of the premises as per new plan submitted to the licensing authority.

Representations to this application must be made in writing by 17 February 2017 to Ryedale District Council, Licensing Department, Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton YO17 7ZG.

4. Stew & Oyester (Trading) Ltd. The Old Town Hall, Market Place, Malton, YO17 7LP

Application has been made under Section 17 Part 3 of the Licensing Act 2003 for the grant of a Premises Licence.

Intend to conduct on or from the premises the following licensable activities:

  • The provision of late night refreshment: Monday - Sunday 23:00 - 00:00
  • Sale by retail of alcohol: Monday - Sunday 09:00 - 00:00
  • The provision of regulated entertainment, namely: Provision of Films - Monday - Sunday 09:00 - 00:00

Interested parties or responsible authorities may make written representations to The Licensing Team, Health & Environment, Ryedale House, Old Malton road, Malton, North Yorkshire by 13 March 2017.

Anyone who wishes to make representations regarding these applications must give notice in writing to Licensing Team, Ryedale House, Old Malton Road, Malton, YO17 7HH no later than 28 days after the application date, stating the grounds for representations.

A record of these applications may be inspected within the Ryedale District Council Register kept at the address shown below.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application. Maximum penalty £5,000.
