Open data - Council spending

Ryedale District Council is always looking for new ways of making it as easy as possible for citizens and others to access data in ways that they want – allowing you to understand and share data easily.
Ryedale District Council has chosen to publish details of supplier payments in the interests of openness and accountability. This information is generated from the Council's general ledger system. The following payments have been removed from the published data:
- Individual payments under £500 (payments under £500 as part of a larger payment will be shown);
- Refunds made to individuals;
- Investment transactions by the Council
In the interests of fairness any requests for further information on individual payments will be handled and responded to as if they were requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Please see the Freedom of Information page for further information.
We now publish our council spending data on an open data platform called Data North Yorkshire. This allows you to search for, preview and download data from a wide range of areas on a number of different themes. There is also an API should you wish to reuse data subject to the open government licence.
Please find historic spending data from April to December 2013 available to download below in two formats where possible. In PDF format, which is a printer friendly and very common format which you can open in your browser (requires the Adobe Acrobat plugin), and in CSV format, akin to a spreadsheet, which allows manipulation and analysis of the data in a format consistent across all local authorities.
