Where can I get legal advice about a housing issue locally?
The Housing Options Team provides free legal advice to Ryedale residents and landlords about housing and homelessness. We can advise you about you legal rights and responsibilities as a tenant or landlord. Please phone 01653 600666 to speak to an officer or make an appointment. Appointments are usually available each weekday at Ryedale House in Malton, if you have special needs and are unable to visit the office please speak to the duty officer to make other arrangements.

Shelter is a national charity which offers advice on their comprehensive website or by phoning 0808 8004444.
Where can I get support locally as I have a housing problem?
Ryedale Citizens Advice Bureau may be able to advise you, they have drop in sessions at Stanley Harrison House in Malton and in Pickering and Kirkbymoorside.
Stonham Homestay provide a Homelessness Prevention Service in Ryedale and Scarborough, they have drop in sessions in Malton and can be contacted by phoning 01653 694703 or 01723 366566.
