Ryedale District Council

Anti social behaviour

To protect local people from harassment, harm and distress that is caused, or likely to be caused by anti social behaviour.

Due to diligent and consistent work on the part of the Police and Safer Ryedale as a whole, all districts of Ryedale have seen significant decreases in ASB. However, despite these reductions, ASB continues to place a significant demand on partner resources.

Anti-social behaviour was also identified by the community as one of the top priorities for the partnership to tackle. The public are particularly concerned about rubbish and litter, people being drunk and rowdy in public places, teenagers hanging around the streets, and vandalism, graffiti and other deliberate damage to property or vehicles.

More infomation including how to report anti social behaviour is available from North Yorkshire Police.
